CURRICULUM
British inspired in the UK
The effective use of ICT will enable the school to match the organisation of the curriculum to the children progress through the primary years as advised in the IPRC_Report.pdf in a UK inspired Education model.

The effective use of Drama will enable the school to increase the level of motivation of the learners and thus help, alongside ICT, to ensure that students are prepared for their end of Key Stage 2 (UK) statutory exam progressively and creatively.
Given the chosen education philosophy and approaches to teaching, the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) Opening Minds Curriculum was the logical choice for the school. Indeed, the whole point of following the RSA Opening Minds Curriculum is to move the emphasis from content to process. In order to help the teachers with this goal, a relevant partner by subject or group of subjects will be selected from industry to provide professional advice or even resources. For instance, Rosetta Stone has been chosen to supports the teaching of World Languages and Berkshire Maestros to support the teaching of Music in the UK. |
In that context, the RSA competences are the outcome whereas the local Curriculum subjects, and their content delivered in a creative and innovative way, are the necessary means to achieve these outcomes.
Learning cannot take place with the students are not motivated and emotionally happy. That is the reason why the focus will be put on numeracy, literacy and emotional well-being in Primary School. The use of drama via video production will provide the learners with a sense of purpose. In addition, it will provide them with the satisfaction of contributing to the school Video Knowledge Bank. Languages and the intrinsic social features it underpin will be used as a catalyst to open their minds to the World and to each other. This state of mind will be reinforced by a Global Citizenship program. The Opening Minds Curriculum will be introduced in Primary and fully implemented in Preparatory School. |
Once opened, each Connected School will work with RSA training schools to gain the RSA Opening Minds Accreditation. This will guarantee that the teaching and learning taking place is of the highest standards.
